Position

Schedule:

This is a full‑time position that will work 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Sunday – Thursday. Schedule flexibility is required.

Training

Schedule:

Candidate must be available to attend training Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm for a period of 2–3 weeks.

(Based upon when hours are worked positions may include a shift and weekend differential of $1.50 – $4.50 per hour.)

• Ensures suitability and accurate labeling of products for release and distribution
• Performs data entry associated with component production, labeling, storage and shipping ensuring accurate and complete manufacturing records
• Manufactures, stores and distributes blood and blood products
• Operates, maintains and performs quality control checks on equipment
• Performs the quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products and/or samples and performs quality control on blood products
• Ensures adequate inventory of required supplies
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers and vendors
• May operate a One Blood courier vehicle when applicable.

Education and/or

Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent and proficient computer skills. Prior customer service, laboratory, blood bank manufacturing or logistics experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and Designations: Current and valid driver’s license in good standing may be required.

• Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
• Ability to speak, write, read and understand English
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and those contacted in the course of work
• Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Skill in operating office equipment and technology
• Ability to report to work during a disaster, public health emergency or other catastrophic event.

Physical Requirements: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Tasks involve the performance of moderately physically demanding work for extended periods, involving standing, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment.

Tasks may involve some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Environmental Requirements: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Functions are regularly performed inside and/or outside with potential for exposure to adverse conditions such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances. Performance of this job could expose the employee to blood‑borne pathogens and freezers at below‑freezing temperatures (-30 °F /
-35 °C). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
