Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring advanced transplant and Misonix/CUSA skills.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based Operating Room with a focus on transplant cases,

• Handle liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant surgeries including organ implantation,

• Assigned shift is 11:00 to 23:30, three 12-hour day shifts per week,

• Includes liver call and the possibility of handling other surgical cases,

• On-call required: one shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month,

• Clinicians may float to other OR-related duties as needed,

• Uses Epic for charting,

• Scrub color is ceil blue,

Job Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required; pending license accepted,

• Minimum of 2 years direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required,

• Strong experience in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures, including organ implantation,

• Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA equipment is required,

• Certifications required: ACLS and BLS at time of consideration, NIHSS before start,

• Candidates must be nicotine-free and pass a negative 10 Panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen,

• Responsibilities include perioperative care for complex organ transplant cases and related OR procedures,

• Emphasis on advanced surgical teamwork in a teaching hospital setting,

• All time off (RTO) requests must be submitted up front; later additions are unlikely to be approved,

• Assignment at any related facility cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month wait period required before any return placement,
