Are you called to a meaningful career advocating for children and families in crisis through your work in human resources? 4
KIDS is seeking a HR Generalist to support the day-to-day HR operations and focus on building strong relationships across the organization, fostering a culture of trust, fun, collaboration, and spiritual encouragement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong supportive relationships with employees and managers at all levels
- Manage and perform annual employee background screening process and new hire background screening process
- Implement employee onboarding process from offer letter through first 90 days of employment
- Contribute to a positive and fun workplace by participating in culture keepers meetings and planning and executing staff culture events
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, recommend best practices, and update policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Manage benefit enrollment, billing, audits, and support employees with benefit questions
- Assist with annual employee compliance audits
- Manage ADP Workforce Now database and online employee files to ensure accurate and up-to-date
- Support managers and employees with HR-related questions, including performance, leave, and conflict resolution
- Review bi-monthly payroll processing for accuracy
- Complete all tasks associated with transitions, promotions, and separations within 4
KIDS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2-5 years of HR generalist experience preferred
- Committed Christian with alignment with 4
KIDS statement of faith - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of HR compliance and best practices
- Experience in a nonprofit or faith-based ministry setting preferred
- Proficient with ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and grace
- Ability to counsel staff using the Bible
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
