Job Summary

The Manager of Web Analytics will lead the strategy and execution of web tagging to ensure accurate data collection and provide key insights to optimize digital performance. This role will manage web analytics frameworks, implement robust tagging strategies, and deliver actionable, data-driven insights to enhance website performance and user experience. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in web tagging technologies, analytics, and data visualization, with a proven ability to leverage these tools to drive business success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of web tagging strategies to ensure accurate capture of website interactions, conversions, and user journeys.
  • Oversee the setup, deployment, and management of the Tag Management System (TMS), ensuring smooth implementation and ongoing maintenance across websites and mobile platforms.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and IT teams to define and refine tagging requirements for website features, marketing campaigns, A/B tests, and product launches.
  • Support the Senior Manager of Web Analytics in developing and implementing a comprehensive analytics framework aligned with business goals, KPIs, and tracking metrics.
  • Conduct regular audits to validate tagging accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain analytics reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into website performance, user behavior, and conversion funnels.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validation of data collected across platforms.
  • Maintain documentation of tagging standards, procedures, and best practices while educating internal teams to ensure consistent application.
  • Identify opportunities for advanced tagging solutions, including custom event tracking, dynamic content tagging, and eCommerce tracking.
  • Collaborate with development, marketing, and product teams to align tagging strategies with business objectives and digital initiatives.
  • Monitor tag performance to ensure it does not negatively impact website load times or user experience.
  • Stay current on industry trends, tagging technologies, and digital marketing best practices, recommending new tools and methodologies as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in web tagging, web analytics, or digital marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Expertise with Tag Management Systems (e.g., Tealium [preferred], Google Tag Manager).
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
  • Proficiency in web tagging technologies to track user interactions, events, conversions, and eCommerce activities across web and mobile platforms.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and retrieving data from databases.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and visualization (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
  • Experience with JavaScript or similar languages for customizing and troubleshooting tags and event tracking.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
