Data Analyst, Data Engineer

The Data Engineer supports operations and conducts data analytics projects to provide information and insights to stakeholders for decision-making or solution development. They implement data standards and deploy automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform data into usable metrics. The Data Engineer constructs data sets, monitors data quality, troubleshoots and resolves database issues, and uses scripting and querying tools like Python, R, or SQL, data visualization/BI tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files, and dashboards.
They collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs, objectives, and requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and compile data from multiple sources to create comprehensive and informative reports
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for efficient data extraction and transformation
- Design and maintain visually compelling report templates and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel
- Partner with the CIO and department heads to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable insights
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all reports through thorough validation and documentation practices
- Continuously refine and streamline reporting processes for maximum efficiency and timely delivery
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members directly and indirectly
- 7+ years as a Report Writer, Data Analyst, or in a similar role focused on report development is required
- Advanced skills in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent software)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field is ideal
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and excellent written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with business intelligence best practices; knowledge of data governance is required
Salary, Performance-Based Bonus, Comprehensive Benefits Package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
