Crime Intelligence Analyst I is a non-sworn position within the Bureau of Insurance Fraud under the Criminal Investigations Division of the Department of Financial Services. Based in Fort Lauderdale, this role analyzes criminal intelligence data, writes reports and investigative summaries, and coordinates information dissemination to support law enforcement operations. The position requires two years of professional work experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, investigations, data analysis, or related fields, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Keyqualifications:
- Two years of professional work experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, investigations, data analysis, or related fields (or post-secondary degree as alternative)
- Valid Driver's License from Florida Department of Safety and Motor Vehicles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize criminal intelligence data
- Knowledge of record writing techniques and research/intelligence analysis techniques
- Ability to write reports, investigative summaries and memoranda
