Primary

Purpose:

Maintain and provide technical support for district-wide surveillance camera systems, radio communications systems and emergency management resources.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma
• Must be insurable to drive district vehicles
• Must pass a drug/alcohol test
• Candidate must have a satisfactory outcome of the fingerprinting check

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

• Knowledge of surveillance camera operating and management systems
• Knowledge of two-way radio communication systems maintenance and support
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and computer troubleshooting
• Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot student/staff  programs
• Ability to analyze, resolve computer hardware and software problems
• Must be able to support visitor and emergency management software programs
• Must possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with campus administration, district personnel and vendors

Experience:

• Two years of experience working with surveillance camera monitoring systems
• Two years of experience working with two-way radio communications systems
• Two years of experience working with emergency management software
• Two years of experience working with staff/student  programs

Major

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide technical support for district-wide surveillance camera systems.
• Provide technical support for district-wide radio communications systems.
• Provide technical support for visitor and emergency management software programs.
• Provide technical assistance to campus/district administration on video archiving/extractions.
• Maintain confidentiality/privacy of student and district personnel information.
• Compile and maintain physical and computerized reports, records and other required documents.
• Maintain accurate documentation of repair/service work performed.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, materials and equipment used and needed for projects.
• Provide assistance to camera system/communications vendors when needed.
• Observe all mandatory safety regulations and complete all required trainings.
• Comply with all federal and state laws, regulations and policies.
• Comply with all policies established by the Board of Trustees.
• Daily attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Standard office equipment, including a personal computer and peripherals, and frequent telephone use;
Must be able to climb ladders up to 20 feet; must be able to use a lift/bucket truck for projects
