Logistics Coordinator

Description We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support day-to-day transportation and order fulfillment activities for a wholesale seafood operation in Weston, Florida. This Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable managing orders from initial handoff through final delivery. The person in this role will work closely with customers, sales, carriers, and cold storage partners to keep shipments moving accurately and on schedule while maintaining a high standard of service.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee customer orders after they are entered by the sales team, managing each shipment through dispatch, delivery, and completion.

- Build and adjust delivery plans to improve route efficiency and meet customer timing requirements.

- Coordinate with trucking companies to arrange pickups and deliveries, confirm schedules, and resolve transportation issues promptly.

- Partner with sales staff and customers to answer questions, communicate shipment updates, and support a smooth order experience.

- Track order progress closely to ensure products are collected, delivered, and closed out without unnecessary delays.

- Issue release instructions to cold storage facilities and verify product readiness for shipment.

- Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment statuses, and supporting information within company systems.

- Submit completed shipment details and related documentation to accounting for downstream processing.

- Enter and update logistics data in internal platforms and use business software tools to support daily operations. Requirements - Experience in logistics, distribution, transportation coordination, or order management.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and carrier partners.

- Proven attention to detail and ability to monitor multiple orders at different stages simultaneously.

- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel.

- Comfort with data entry and maintaining accurate operational records.

- Ability to learn industry-specific and company software tools quickly.

- Strong follow-through skills and a proactive approach to resolving shipment or delivery issues. Talent Match®
