We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our team. The primary responsibilities include changing raw stock and finished plates on a 4-axis CNC machine, performing routine maintenance, conducting quality checks on finished parts, and ensuring efficient operation to meet production goals. This position requires technical expertise, precision, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machines according to production specifications and instructions.
- Change plates on CNC machines as required, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality output and identify any malfunctions or irregularities.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting key components per production specifications and instructions.
- Replace worn tooling and fixturing per instructions.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to verify tolerances.
- Report non-conformances and assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Communicate operational issues, delays, and improvements to supervisors and team members.
- Assist in maintaining an inventory of machine tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Technical training or certification in CNC machining or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with CNC machine programming (G-code) is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation principles.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
