Position Overview

Dayton-Granger, Inc. is immediately hiring a Fiberglass Finishing Specialist to join our production team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a full-time, direct hire role in a clean and structured aerospace manufacturing environment. You’ll work with fiberglass and composite parts, performing sanding, buffing, filling, and prepping for paint. If you have experience in auto body repair, composite finishing, or marine surface prep, this could be a great fit for you.

We’re looking for candidates with hands‑on experience using tools like air sanders and buffers, and strong attention to detail. You’ll play a key role in preparing high‑performance aerospace components to meet the industry’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sand, buff, and prepare fiberglass and composite parts for painting and finishing
  • Apply fillers and compounds to smooth part surfaces
  • Perform masking, touch‑ups, and polishing to ensure high-quality finishes
  • Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and specifications
  • Use hand and power tools, including air sanders and buffers
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety protocols
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of hands‑on experience with fiberglass finishing, sanding, or surface preparation
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, and blueprints
  • Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs and performing physical tasks
  • Good vision, attention to detail, and steady hand‑eye coordination
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic computer skills for job tracking and data entry
  • Ability to wear PPE and remain on feet for extended periods
  • Prior experience in aerospace, marine, or automotive finishing environments is a plus
