LSF is looking for a talented Regional Development Manager who wants to make an impact in the lives of others. The Regional Development manager acts as a fundraising manager for our nonprofit organization with a core focus of fundraising through donor relations and engagement. Experience with nonprofit donor relations/fundraising is required.

This position will be based on the East Coast of the state of Florida with extensive travel. Ideal candidate will be Ft. Lauderdale based. This is a full time, permanent position.

Purpose and Impact:

The Regional Development Manager is responsible for implementing the strategic fund-development plan that will provide for the ongoing viability and thriving of Lutheran Services Florida. This role is responsible for supporting localized Ambassador Boards,
driving donor engagemen
t, and supporting regional events. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, this role requires enthusiasm for working with a mission-driven team to make a real and lasting difference for the future of the clients we serve through this dynamic nonprofit.

This role is responsible for the stewardship and support of localized Ambassador Boards and remains in consistent contact with the Board Lead.
The Regional Development Manager proactively connects with new and potential donors to guide them through their donor journey through data-driven, personalized, and frequent communication.

Essential Functions:

DONOR ENGAGEMENT
  • Donor Stewardship – Build and maintain strong relationships with current donors, ensuring regular communication, appreciation, and engagement to retain and increase their support through exceptional customer service.
  • New Donor Acquisition – Both individually and in collaboration with the Development Team - Identify and cultivate relationships with potential new donors, including individuals, businesses, community programs, and religious organizations, to expand the donor base and increase funding sources.
  • Donor Communication - Create consistent communication streams with donor base through newsletters and emails that showcase donors stories, program needs, and success stories.
  • Donor Segmentation - In coordination with Data Specialist, create segmented, and specified communication strategies to deepen donors’ relationship to LSF and increase giving.
  • Donor Surveys - Create and conduct donor surveys to better know each individual and their preferences for communication and donations.
  • Donor Profiles - Tell donors’ stories to elevate their generosity and inspire the generosity of others.
  • Donor Acknowledgement - Design and implement donor acknowledgement process to both appreciate each donor and encourage further connection.
  • Fundraising Campaigns - Create campaigns with specific asks to increase engagement and generate revenue.
AMBASSADOR BOARD COORDINATION
  • Communicate consistently with Ambassador Board Coordinators to collaborate on local initiatives, events, and partnerships.
  • Plan and lead Ambassador Board Meetings in local markets.
  • Connect Ambassadors to programs in their community.
  • Find and nurture new relationships to add to Ambassador Boards.
  • Ambassador Boards – Identify leaders who can advocate on behalf of LSF in local communities. Support their efforts, events, connections and communications with their communities. Provide them with engagement plans and meet with them at least 1x/month in person.
EVENT SUPPORT
  • In collaboration with the Ambassador Board, organize, and execute successful fundraising events, both large and small, to generate significant revenue and increase community engagement.
  • Utilize donor relationships to locate sponsors and partners to develop beneficial events that fund and support our local programs.
