Overview

Admissions & Retention Specialist – Arc Broward

Pay Rate: $24.04/hour
• Full-time, 40 hours per week

Arc Broward is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of people with developmental disabilities. This role supports admissions and retention across Arc Broward’s Workforce Services programs, including Arc Educates and Arc Works.

Responsibilities
  • Create awareness of Arc Broward's Workforce Services programs to external community stakeholders.
  • Manage recruitment activities for potential students/participants by identifying and attending community outreach events and school resource fairs, facilitating presentations, cold-calling, and using social media to share information and engage with prospective students/participants and their families.
  • Collaborate with external entities such as schools, non-profits, Vocational Rehabilitation, social service agencies, advocacy groups, parent groups, and others to provide information about Arc Broward’s Workforce Services programs.
  • Serve as the key ambassador to obtain referrals for Workforce Services’ post-secondary vocational certificate programs and employment services programs to meet and exceed enrollment quotas.
  • Engage young adults aging out of high school, and older adults, to guide them toward their employment goals.
  • Lead tours of the Hospitality program at Chateau Mar for prospective students and their families; facilitate intake meetings; guide applicants through the application and admission progress for the program.
  • Conduct direct outreach (emails, phone calls, follow-ups) to prospective students/participants and maintain a pipeline for upcoming program starts.
  • Oversee the student recruitment funnel from initial campus tours through application, providing support services to enhance program retention and completion.
  • Generate weekly and monthly activity reports focused on outreach, recruitment, and enrollment benchmarks.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sales, business, education, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of one year of directly related experience (recruitment, admissions, enrollment services, sales, cold-calling, education, or social services).
  • Flexibility to work some nights and weekend events is required.
  • Experience working with adults with disabilities or other life challenges is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation, creativity, and ability to assist people with a variety of challenges.
  • Ability to use social media to post recruitment information and engage with relevant community groups.
  • Must pass a pre-employment Level 2 criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
