As Our Development Operations Manager, You Will
  • Be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the Development department’s day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee donor database management, reporting, donor communications, stewardship activities, grant writing and research, donor prospecting, and managing departmental administrative tasks.
  • Assist with the grants process, including research, writing, application submission and reporting.
  • Schedule appointments and plan meetings with prospective donors for the Development team and President/CEO.
  • Organize and conduct tours of the facility for potential donors.
  • Assist in planning and executing donor events, special events, volunteer events and activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication and relationship-building with stakeholders to support the organization’s mission.
  • Represent the organization at functions and activities and be available for meetings which may take place during evenings and weekends.
  • Provide administrative support to the Autism Services Grant Council during the grant making process.
  • Correspond with sub-grantees and collect required documentation including executed agreements, mid-year updates and annual reports with backup documentation.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of nonprofit development experience (donor database management, reporting, donor communications, stewardship activities, grant writing and research, and donor prospecting).
  • Valid FL driver’s license and successful Level II background check, physical and drug screen.

    Skilled in creating powerful, compelling written and oral communications for fundraising. Ability to convey complex ideas through brief, simple materials. Experience and credibility when presenting materials to external audiences.

    Effective at working with others to reach common goals and objectives.
  • Relationship Building:
    Skilled at establishing and cultivating strong relationships with others, across different levels of the organization and externally.
  • Work habits/skills:
    Excellent organizational and time management skills, meticulous attention to detail and follow-up. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, donor management systems (Donor Perfect preferred), and other online fundraising tools. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
