We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Birthday Party Host/Humane Education Assistant at our animal shelter. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of birthday parties, as well as assisting with kids and teen club, camp and other Education programs. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working with children and animals.

This is a part‑time position with varying hours, 15/week on average. Must have availability on weekends.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Prior experience working with children required, especially ages 4-17.
• Educational experience in the non‑formal, camp, or non‑profit environment is highly preferred.
• Must be computer literate with proficient use of Windows based software, MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher).
• Knowledge in animal welfare, care and behavior is required.
• Knowledge of administrative, clerical and basic bookkeeping procedures.
• Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license with a good driving record required.
• Must pass employee background check including fingerprinting through the Livescan system.
