Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Telemetry unit requiring 2 years recent tele experience, Level 1 Trauma background, and an active FL/Compact license.

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• 2 years of recent consecutive telemetry experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Cerner and Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in managing drips, peripheral central line care/management, and interpreting dysrhythmias
• Degree must be from an accredited school or an institution approved by the FL Board of Nursing
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools not accepted
• Must pass a basic arrhythmia/EKG competency assessment

• Telemetry unit in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating to other telemetry floors as needed
• Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 major holidays, including eve and day
• Responsibilities include managing telemetry monitoring, drip titration, central line care, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Smoke-free facility
• Requires completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting and criminal history review
• Former Broward Health permanent employees must be separated for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates considered within a 60-mile radius at a lower rate
