Responsibilities
  • Communicate all kitchen issues with management throughout the day.
  • Read and write notes in English in the manager’s daily log.
  • Attend weekly manager’s meetings and monthly staff meetings.
  • Read the weekly memo.
  • Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations.
  • Communicate with all managers on duty at shift completion.
  • Provide accurate, honest reports of all events, positive and negative.
  • Comply with all policies, rules, and directions from manuals, memos, and meetings.
  • Attend quarterly supervisor meetings.
  • Maintain current food management certification.
  • Demonstrate ownership mentality.
  • Be flexible with scheduling;
    Flanigan’s operates 365 days/year.
  • Willingness to transfer geographically.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Schedule vacations between April and November; must take or forfeit.
  • Order supplies and formulate pars.
  • Have basic math and computer skills.
  • Understand and uphold health code standards.
  • Conduct timely interviews and issue performance evaluations.
  • Be able to see, hear, speak clearly, and taste and smell.
  • Read and write English proficiently.
  • Stand and move about for up to 4 hours; work 50-55 hours/week.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform bending, stooping, squatting, or crawling.
  • Operate kitchen equipment with coordination.
  • Adhere to dress and grooming policies.
