Opening in Fall 2025, Omni Fort Lauderdale will provide South Florida with 120,000 square feet of event space, new food and beverage options, a Natural Spring inspired full-service spa and entertainment pedestrian plaza featuring high-end shopping, amphitheater, charter boat docking and beautiful promenade. The new iconic landmark offers unforgettable views of the Atlantic paired with unrivalled convenience and intelligently designed meeting spaces.

The hotel will be directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center, immediately adjacent to Port Everglades cruise terminal and less than two miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport.

Be a part of the pre-opening team for theOmni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel!

Opening Fall 2025, theOmni Ft. Lauderdale Hotelis a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel will also have over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.

The Hidden Key Bartender will be responsible for providing efficient friendly customer service at all times and to maintain a clean, professional top-quality bar.

Responsibilities
  • To follow, enforce, comply, and adhere to all Omni rules, policies, procedures, standards and recipes at all times.
  • To properly set-up and maintain a clean efficient bar throughout the shift.
  • Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
  • Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on both food and beverage menu selections, and daily specials.
  • Mix drinks for servers according to standard recipes.
  • Familiarity with the wine list and the stemware and appropriate garnishes used.
  • Follow procedures as outlined in employee manual and bartender’s manual. Jigger pour, making drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros.
  • Ensure the consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails.
  • Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.
  • Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order, and adhere to cash handling standards.
  • Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.
  • Present accurate check to guest and process payment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
  • Polish and clean the water glasses in his/her assigned station before opening hours.
  • Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-year bartending experience.
  • Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Environment & Position Analysis
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
Tools & Equipment
  • Micros terminal, printer, food and beverage items, bar tools.
