Installation Technician

The Installation Technician will be responsible for quality installation practices and customer training during installation of services including video, voice, and internet.

Location:

Pembroke Park, FL;
Salary: $21.25 - $25.25 per hour.

• Assist installation and other teams with customer activation of fiber‑optic telecommunication in subscriber homes (e.g., pulling low‑voltage wire); including single family, condo and apartments in various locations.
• Install and service full video services, including analog, digital, and HD TV.
• Install, service, and disconnect telephone and internet customers.
• Punch down telephone lines.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safe practices and adhering to safety policies, which includes practicing safe driving techniques.
• Install all types of CAT5/CAT6 drop wire and install connectors on CAT5/CAT6 drop wire.
• Troubleshoot video, telephone and internet problems from any telecommunications demark to customer premise equipment.
• Troubleshoot IP issues from any telecommunications demark to customer premise equipment.
• Successfully install all ancillary equipment provided to subscribers.
• Test and tone all drop wires from equipment room to end user location.
• Work on an on‑call schedule rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate’s Degree in Internet Technologies preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.
• Fiber Optic Cabling experience.
• Proficiency using small hand tools and larger power tools.
• Active and clean, non‑restrictive, state‑issued driver’s license in the state where hired.
• Comfortable working on a ladder and at all heights.
• Strong preference for Cisco certifications, CCT or CCENT entry‑level certificates and Microsoft Certifications, MCSA for Office.
• Ability to work days, weekends, evenings and holidays and participate in on‑call rotation as needed.
