Fire Alarm Technician

Overview

A fire alarm technician installs, inspects, tests, and repairs fire alarm systems in various buildings. Their job involves using electrical knowledge and tools to ensure these systems are functioning correctly to protect people and property, often requiring strong technical and problem-solving skills. This role also includes troubleshooting issues, providing technical support to customers, and programming systems using a laptop.

• Technical skills:
  Strong electrical knowledge, familiarity with tools, wiring, and digital technology.
• Computer skills:
  Ability to program systems using a laptop.
• Problem-solving:
  Ability to identify and solve complex technical problems.
• Attention to detail:
  Meticulous attention to detail to ensure correct and safe installation and maintenance.
• Communication:
  Good verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions and teamwork.
• Other:
  Mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints, and a strong sense of responsibility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sunrise, FL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
