Warehouse Production Specialist
Warehouse Employee is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards to maintain smooth logistics and inventory management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Receiving & Inspection:
- Unload incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Enter goods into ERP system.
- Storage & Inventory Management:
- Organize and store products in designated locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Conduct stock counts and assist with cycle counting.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Print, pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
- Assist shipping/invoicing team by booking shipments with freight forwarders.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation for outbound shipments.
- Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Perform routine checks and report maintenance needs.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent accidents.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse processes.
- Assume and perform other duties inherent to the warehouse department.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience:
Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred. - Technical
Skills:
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Excel and ERP systems. Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and inventory lists. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods. - Soft Skills:
Attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
