WhatWe’re Looking For
Cross River Bank is seeking an experienced L&D Consultant to partner with our Talent Management team to help build, launch, and elevate talent initiatives, programs, and processes (e.g., Promotion process, Onboarding, Performance Management, Employee Experience). The position reports directly into our Head of Talent Management. We want candidates who build relationships quickly, drive results, are resourceful, strong problem solvers, and passionate about learning and talent development.
Responsibilities- Design and implement learning and development programs and initiatives to support all stages of the employee life cycle, in partnership with HR Business Partners, to build a culture of continuous learning.
- Assess learning needs and requests; determine the most appropriate solutions based on consultation with business leaders or HRBPs.
- Partner closely with SMEs to design appropriate solutions, socialize proposals to ensure alignment, iterating based on feedback along the way.
- Use instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create engaging learner‑centric training materials, including e‑learning, simulations, videos, job aids, and other multimedia content.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of deployed learning strategies—including content, delivery methods, and learner outcomes—to improve the learning experience.
- Facilitate workshops, programs, and discussions.
- Manage related leadership and employee development learning activities/events end‑to‑end.
- Align development programs to organizational values and business priorities.
- Participate actively in special projects and on‑demand assignments.
- Elevate our compliance/technical/leadership program offerings.
- Effectively vet, partner, and evaluate third‑party learning and development vendors.
- Serve as an internal expert on the latest industry trends in technical learning, new technologies, adult learning principles, and vendors in the marketplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in an associated field.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated Learning & Development and/or Instructional Design experience.
- Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles, accelerated learning, blended learning, workplace learning, organizational learning, and social learning.
- Strong facilitation skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Canva.
- Proficiency with Articulate Storyline or Rise.
- Strong visual design skills.
- Knowledge of banking/finance industry regulatory compliance and standards (preferred).
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and advanced technologies (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills.
