HRIS Benefit Support/Special Projects Specialist –
Fort Lee, NJ
Salary Range $65,000 to $75,000 a year
The HRIS Benefit Support/Special Projects Specialist role is to conduct benefits analysis between the HRIS
and the Benefit Administration system data for accuracy, reconcile and resolve paid time off discrepancies
to ensure no issues with payroll processing, and support HR special projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis between HRIS and Benefits Administration system for all benefits offered across
the organization on a weekly basis. - Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee benefit data within the HRIS.
- Work closely with third party Benefits Administrator to reconcile and resolve any discrepancies.
- Process retroactive benefit deductions in HRIS.
- Monitor and track net zero report and work with appropriate parties to resolve.
- Manage the Health Savings Account (HSA) including employer contributions.
- Work closely with the leave of absence team to capture arrears payments.
- Process benefit deduction corrections/adjustments according to payroll timeline.
- Assist with annual benefit open enrollment, to include testing Benefit Administration system.
- Review absence reports (error and unpaid) after time files are uploaded for payroll, reconcile and
resolve, if applicable. - Process any absence adjustments needed as part of the payroll adjustment process.
- Process vacation payouts for applicable states.
- Maintain ticket system for Paid Time Off (PTO) issues by reviewing issue, resolving and
responding to tickets. - Participate in meetings as needed.
- Participate in or lead special projects related to HR and/or HRIS system.
- Provide feedback to the Director on trends, system and process functionality, improvement
recommendations, etc. - Assists with other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Some travel may be required.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management preferred
- 3-5 years' experience in the Human Resources field
- Experience with Oracle HRIS
- Experience with Benefit Administration
