About the job Employment Law Associate Attorney

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Fort Lee, NJ office.

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have an active NJ Bar license and at least 2 years of employment law experience.

Job Description

  • Manage employment law cases from intake through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct and defend depositions, attend mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings
  • Provide counsel to clients on compliance with state and federal employment laws
  • Handle cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and retaliation claims
  • Collaborate with colleagues while independently managing your own caseload
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of employment law experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and NJ employment statutes (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, NJLAD, CEPA)
  • Litigation and courtroom experience preferred
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment
