Adjunct Instructors – English As A Second Language, College Prep Writing or Reading
Adjunct instructors at South East Community College provide educational services as assigned, in accordance with general college guidelines, board policies, and administrative guidelines. Teaching contracts may be cancelled due to low student enrollment.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver high‑quality instruction in the assigned subject area, maintain course materials, and support student learning.
Minimum Qualifications- English as a Second Language:
Bachelor’s degree in TESOL/TEFL, Second or Foreign Language Acquisition, Linguistics, Foreign Language, or related field, with documented instruction experience. - College Prep Writing:
Bachelor’s degree in English or related field, with documented instruction experience. - Reading:
Bachelor’s degree in Education (Elementary, Secondary, English) with Reading endorsement, Master’s degree in Reading, or related degree, with documented instruction experience.
- Flexibility to instruct classes during day and/or evening hours (or online) and for campuses in West Burlington and Keokuk.
