Adjunct Instructors – Health Professions
Job DescriptionSCC is currently accepting applications for adjunct instructors to teach courses in our Health Professions Division. Adjunct instructors provide educational services as assigned, in accordance with general college guidelines, board policies, and administrative guidelines.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in Health Professions programs as assigned.
- Prepare and deliver course instruction in alignment with college standards.
- Assess student learning and assign grades according to institutional policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student performance.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support curriculum and instructional improvement.
- Participate in departmental and college meetings as required.
- Master’s degree or higher in a qualifying field or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in a qualifying field;
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of instruction with either 5 years teaching experience or 4000 hours related work experience;
- 6000 hours related work experience.
- Applicants must possess the appropriate registration, certification, or licenses for the occupational area in which the instructor is teaching.
- Flexibility to instruct classes during day, evening, and/or weekend hours, and for campuses in West Burlington and Keokuk. Online courses may also be available.
- Official transcripts required upon hire.
