Adjunct Instructors - Career and Technical Education

SCC is currently accepting applications for adjunct instructors to teach courses in our Career and Technical Education Division.
Adjunct instructors at Southeast Community College provide educational services as assigned, in accordance with general college guidelines, board policies, and administrative guidelines.
Adjunct instructors in Career and Technical programs must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in a qualifying field or a Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in a qualifying field; or
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of instruction with either 5 years teaching experience or 4000 hours related work experience; or
- 6000 hours related work experience.
Adjunct teaching contracts are subject to cancellation due to low student enrollment or adjustments to teaching assignments due to full‑time faculty load requirements.
Required QualificationsApplicants must possess the appropriate registration, certification, or licenses for the occupational area in which the instructor is teaching.
Preferred QualificationsFlexibility to instruct classes during day and/or evening hours (or online) and for campuses in West Burlington and Keokuk. Online courses may also be available.
