. We are located at the Fort Madison Blade Facility.
In this role you will be part of a dynamic team of manufacturing professionals. Key duties include performing installations, completing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and making alterations to sophisticated machinery, machine tools, lifting equipment, and fixtures. You will record all required data of repairs and installations, interpret and implement corrective actions from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions, recommend appropriate corrective action in accordance with referenced specifications, and perform mechanical construction work as required.

- Receive and perform work assignments, oral and/or written and follow work instructions.
- Accurately report findings of inspections to operations, supervisor, etc.
- Document, organize, and retain all findings of evaluations and inspections in a timely manner.
- Interpret drawings, sketches, etc. to select necessary tools and materials needed for assignments.
- Complete preventive maintenance and routine repairs on all equipment and operating systems within the facility, including gearboxes, transmissions, hydraulic & lubrication systems, injection, heating, and molding equipment.
- Perform inspections on lifting equipment such as chains, cables, shackles, eyebolts, clamps, and lifting beams to figure out safest operating conditions and maintain records as required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required. 2 year technical degree is preferred. Various combinations of experience and education will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years experience repairing machine tool equipment is preferred.
- Welding, fabrication, and assembly experience is also preferred.
- Familiarity with safety equipment and following established safety procedures. This includes lock out tag out protocol.
- Passing score on General Proficiency test.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
