We are seeking a dedicated Boys Varsity Tennis Coach to develop competitive athletes, foster teamwork, and promote the district’s values.

• Employment as a teacher or coach with a valid Iowa Coaching certificate or coaching endorsement.
• Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for performing the tasks listed.

• Instruct participants in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary to achieve individual and team success, while instilling moral values, pride, self‑confidence, and self‑esteem.
• Cooperate and communicate with parents.
• Promote all activities in the school program to foster school spirit.
• Show interest in athletes’ off‑season activities and classroom efforts.
• File completed inventory with the Activity Director within two weeks after the completion of the season.
• Follow proper transportation procedures.
• Assume responsibility for neatness of facilities and cooperate with custodians.
• Display enthusiasm and interest in the school’s activity program.
• Establish the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques to be taught.
• Be well versed and knowledgeable in matters pertaining to the sport.
• Be prompt and organized concerning practice/contests.
• Be innovative in using new coaching techniques and ideas in addition to already proven methods.
• Provide leadership and attitudes that produce positive attitudes and results.
• Report to the Activity Director.
