Instructor, Business – Fall 2026 The Opportunity
Keyano College’s School of Business is currently seeking Contract Instructors to teach Business courses during the Fall 2026 semester (August 26 – December 18, 2026). This is a casual contract position on an as‑needed basis. Applicants must be comfortable working in a classroom with adults of all abilities and backgrounds. The business instructors deliver quality classes, share subject matter expertise, enter attendance and grades, and perform related duties.
This is an on‑campus role requiring relocation to Fort McMurray, AB. Preference will be given to candidates currently living in Fort McMurray.

- Primarily teach assigned courses across the curriculum.
- Maintain office hours and student mentorship/engagement.
- Maintain professional competence and knowledge of subject matter.
- Carry out regularly scheduled instruction, ensuring students are aware of course objectives, approaches, and evaluation techniques; recruit, tutor, and provide academic counseling of students.
- Minimum of a Master’s in Business Administration or related field. A Bachelor’s degree with significant teaching experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 1‑year cumulative post‑secondary teaching experience (other teaching experience may be considered).
- Proficiency with learning technologies.
- Excellent classroom management and instructional skills.
- Demonstrated communication, planning, time‑management, and organizational skills.
- Dependable and resourceful team member with a proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with a calm professional approach.
- Commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Internationally received education will require an assessment from WES, IQAS, or another IRCC‑approved organization upon hire.
