École McTavish High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Junior High Humanities & Electives.

Requirements: The ideal candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:
  • Bachelor of Education with major in English/Social Studies

  • Knowledge of teaching english and social studies at the junior high level.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with staff and parents.
  • A base knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.
  • Effective organization skills and classroom management.
  • Ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool.
  • An ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans for special needs students.
  • A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom
  • An interest in teaching a wide variety of electives.
  • A commitment to continuous professional growth and a strong ability to connect and build relationships with high school students.
  • Open to teaching a variety of elective classes that best suit the successful applicant.
