High School Special Education Teacher

This teaching role focuses on inclusive education, enabling students to thrive with tailored literacy and numeracy support. Candidates must have experience with differentiated instruction, communication skills, and behavioral management strategies for diverse learners across the curriculum. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop tailored lesson plans for diverse learning needs

• Provide literacy and numeracy support for students at varying levels

• Facilitate community engagement and skill development activities

• Implement technology support and communication tools

• Coordinate care with educational assistants and professionals

Requirements:

• Specialized training in Inclusive/Special Education

• Experience with high-needs students and behavior management

• Strong proficiency in assistive technologies

• Alberta Teacher Certification eligibility

• Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention preferred
