Emergency Services Fire Training Officer

Drive excellence in fire training as a Fire Training Officer IV with Regional Emergency Services in Fort McMurray. Focus on preparing responders through innovative and effective training methods.

This permanent full-time role entails designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for emergency services. Your contributions will enhance community safety by equipping teams to handle pressing fire and medical emergencies under high-pressure conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and develop essential training programs in fire and EMS

• Maintain accurate training documentation and records

• Liaise with partners for joint training initiatives

• Implement continuous improvement strategies for training

• Mentor employees to enhance operational confidence

Requirements:

• NFPA 1001 Level I and II certified

• Experience in adult education and curriculum design

• Class Three License with Q Endorsement required

• Strong communication and coaching skills

• Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
