The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking passionate and dedicated 1.0 FTE Full-Time Junior High Math/Science Teachers to join our vibrant education community starting August 24th 2026 for the school year at Holy Trinity Catholic High School.
The Opportunity:As a Junior High Math/Science Teacher with FMCSD, you will play a foundational role in shaping the minds and hearts of our future leaders. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning, all within the framework of our Catholic faith. - Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons aligned with Alberta Education curriculum and FMCSD's educational philosophy
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning, social-emotional development, and spiritual growth
- Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to ensure student success and a cohesive school environment
- Maintain accurate student records and adhere to all school and division policies and procedures
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives
- Bachelor of Education degree; a specialization in math/science is preferred and/or secondary education
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate; or, eligibility for one
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Commitment to diversity equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging
- Organized and able to meet deadlines in accordance with the school schedule
- Commitment to education and excited to work with students each day
- Computer literate: fluency with e-mail, Internet and MS Office
