Equipment Training Advisor

Lead equipment training at the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in Fort McMurray. This full-time Advisor role focuses on delivering effective training programs for municipal operations and transit teams.
As the Equipment Training Advisor, you will be instrumental in delivering hands-on training tailored for new recruits and seasoned staff. Utilizing your expertise, you will mentor personnel on operating equipment safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations and maintaining training records, as well as collaborating on updates for training content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver training on tools and equipment in practical settings

• Assess training program effectiveness and recommend improvements

• Prepare and present safe work procedures for equipment

• Mentor staff during equipment operation assessments

• Organize and maintain employee training documentation
Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Adult Education or Business

• Five years' experience in training and heavy equipment operations

• Leadership experience is an asset

• Knowledge of municipal operations and related safety techniques

• Valid Alberta Class One Operator’s License is required
