Holy Trinity Catholic High School. Posting: 1.0 FTE Full‑Time Junior High Math/Science Teacher.

As a Junior High Math/Science Teacher with FMCSD, you will play a foundational role in shaping the minds and hearts of our future leaders. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
  • Meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress
  • Volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after‑school activities
  • Attend meetings, seminars, and in‑service training sessions
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age‑appropriate lessons aligned with Alberta Education curriculum and FMCSD's educational philosophy
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning, social‑emotional development, and spiritual growth
  • Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to ensure student success and a cohesive school environment
  • Maintain accurate student records and adhere to all school and division policies and procedures
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school‑wide initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education degree; specialization in math/science preferred and/or secondary education experience
  • Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate; or eligibility for one
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well‑developed interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and building a sense of belonging
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines in accordance with the school schedule
  • Commitment to education and excited to work with students each day
  • Must provide a Criminal Reference Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Computer literate; fluency with e‑mail, Internet and MS Office
