Instructor, University Studies (Biology: Anatomy & Physiology) The Opportunity

Keyano College’s University Studies Department is currently seeking a Contract Instructor to teach the following courses:

• Fall 2026 semester (August 26 – December 16, 2026): BIO 235 Anatomy & Physiology I
• Winter 2027 semester (January 7 – April 26, 2027): BIO 236 Anatomy & Physiology II

Note:

this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

• Primarily teach their specific courses across the curriculum.
• Maintain office hours and student mentorship/engagement.
• Maintain professional competence and knowledge of subject matter.

• Minimum:
  Master’s degree in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Human Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, or a closely related field.
• Preferred:
  PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Strong foundational knowledge across:
  • Human anatomy (systemic and regional)
  • Human physiology (cellular to systemic)
  • Homeostasis and regulatory mechanisms
  • Basic pathology concepts
• Demonstrated experience teaching first‑year undergraduate A&P or related courses.
• Proficient with the use of learning technologies.
• Excellent classroom management and instructional skills.
• Demonstrated excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills.
• Dependable and resourceful team member with a proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with a calm professional approach.
• Commitment to inclusion and diversity.
