High School Educational Assistant

Make a difference as an Educational Assistant in High School Vocational Education at Fort McMurray Catholic Schools. Empower students with diverse needs through effective support and implementation of educational strategies.

The position requires a full-time Educational Assistant to engage with students in grades 7-12. You'll provide cognitive, communication, and social development support while implementing teacher-directed programs and specialist strategies. The role demands collaboration with teachers and a multidisciplinary team to foster positive learning and behavioral outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students' cognitive and social development

• Implement teacher-directed and specialist program strategies

• Collaborate with educators and multi-disciplinary teams

• Provide supervision and structure for student activities

• Use adaptive technologies to facilitate learning

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma

• NVCI Training Level A&B required

• Ability to swim (50 meters, levels 1 and
2)

• Experience with special needs students

• Strong communication skills in student engagement
