Position: Grade 5 Teaching Role at FMPSD
Dave McNeilly Public School seeks a passionate Grade 5 Teacher for a temporary role from August 25, 2026, to February 26, 2027. Share your knowledge and skills to shape young learners.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Education Degree and demonstrate successful experience in an elementary teaching setting. Familiarity with the Alberta Elementary curriculum is essential, alongside the ability to craft Individual Program Plans that support diverse student needs, specifically FNMI and ELL learners. Your engagement extends beyond the classroom through clubs and community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and adapt Individual Program Plans for students

• Cultivate an inclusive, equitable, and supportive classroom

• Engage students through extracurricular involvement

• Maintain positive relationships with students and parents

• Reflect on teaching practices for ongoing improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education Degree required

• Proven experience in elementary education

• Strong understanding of Alberta curriculum

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
