Position: High School Educational Assistant Role
Join Fort McMurray Catholic Schools as an Educational Assistant for High School students. This full-time position focuses on fostering student development in grades 7-12.

The selected candidate will work within Junior High and High School settings, assisting students through their cognitive, physical, and social challenges. An Educational Assistant Certificate and NVCI training are essential for this role. You'll collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement effective education strategies and observe student interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate learning through collaborative programming

• Support students with diverse needs and abilities

• Manage behavior using school-specific strategies

• Monitor and enhance student social interactions

• Provide supervision during activities and transitions

Requirements:

• Must hold an Educational Assistant Certificate

• Completion of NVCI Level A&B training

• Ability to swim for the swim program

• Experience with emotional or behavioral disabilities

• Physically capable of student handling and transfers
