Overview
Mine Planning Engineer role at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL).
Responsibilities- Develop and communicate detailed mine plans and schedules in support of the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of Albian oil sands
- Monitor the stewardship of mine plans and regulatory reporting requirements
- Collaborate with mine operations and technical teams to ensure optimized feasible mine plans
- Develop planning and execution packages for mining projects
- Maintain and optimize mining planning and budgeting models
- Provide mine performance reporting of key performance indicators
- Degree in Mining Engineering
- Registered with APEGA, or eligible to register
- 5+ years of open pit mining experience; previous experience in oil sands mining preferred
- Proven experience with mine design and scheduling software (e.g. Vulcan, Deswick, CAD)
- Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent without mine drive restrictions
