TravelTransportation provided to and from Fort McMurray to site or client flights provided out of Edmonton/Calgary only (site dependent).
The Engineering Co‑op ProgramThe Engineering Co‑op Program within North American Construction Group will provide you with valuable exposure to actual operational conditions and the daily processes essential to effective project management. Successful applicants will be matched to specific projects based upon their areas of interest, individual abilities, and operational requirements.
The position available involves working from a field office on site. You will work under the supervision of project managers and coordinators (generally engineers) in conjunction with field supervisors, surveyors, and equipment operators. Day‑to‑day tasks include tracking operating conditions and changes, providing technical support for field supervisors, collecting operational data and the timely reporting of project details to clients and management.
Outside of daily tasks, the Co‑op, Project Coordinator, will work under the supervision of project managers or senior engineers to monitor, interpret, analyze, and report on performance indicators; manage resources and execution schedules; and interact with operational personnel and clients. Tasks will be determined based on specific experience, interest, and skill sets.
Responsibilities- Work in a field office on‑site, Fort McMurray.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, field supervisors, surveyors, maintenance personnel, and equipment operators.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze operational data.
- Interact with staff and operational personnel.
- Report project details in a timely manner.
- Perform tasks based on your specific experience and skill sets.
- Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Civil, or Mining Engineering (other engineering disciplines considered).
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required).
