WSP is looking for a motivated individual for their Geotechnical & Materials team. This position requires a college diploma in a relevant engineering field and up to three years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include construction monitoring, adherence to HSE standards, and preparation of comprehensive reports, ensuring high levels of safety and quality in construction work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor construction sites for compliance with engineering designs.
• Conduct detailed materials field tests and laboratory analysis.
• Maintain geotechnical instrumentation for project evaluations.
• Log geotechnical cores and monitor critical instabilities.
• Execute site-specific health, safety, and environmental protocols.
Requirements:
• Diploma in Geotechnical, Geological, or Civil Engineering.
• Experience with geotechnical drilling and construction processes.
• Background in Alberta’s Oil Sands region preferred.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail required.
• Capability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
