Shape water management in mining with Suncor as a Hydrologist. Lead hydrological studies, monitoring, and infrastructure assessments to ensure responsible operations.
Suncor is seeking an experienced Hydrologist for our Mining Operations in Fort McMurray or Calgary. With a focus on water management, you will leverage 7+ years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and surface water modeling. This role is pivotal in driving innovative approaches to ensure safe and efficient mining practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expertise on water management strategies
• Plan and execute hydrological investigations and assessments
• Prepare and review engineering designs related to water systems
• Analyze data and present findings in technical reports
• Collaborate with project teams to address water resource issues
Requirements:
• 7 years of relevant experience in oil sands mining
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.)
• Experience in surface water design and assessments
• Strong background in hydrologic modeling and data analysis
Influence operational performance and environmental sustainability in mining as a key member of the Suncor team.
