Underground Services Operations Planner II

Enhance sustainability efforts with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as an Operations Planner II focused on underground services. Drive asset management and preventative maintenance programs for critical water systems.

This pivotal role involves administering both short- and long-term planning for water distribution, wastewater collection, and storm water systems. You will coordinate inspections, develop maintenance strategies, and ensure effective use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software. The position further requires mentoring fellow staff and conducting quality assurance on operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop inspections and maintenance programs for various water systems

• Manage CMMS and EAM software for program tracking

• Analyze data for optimization and capital project support

• Prepare detailed maintenance and inspection reports

• Mentor staff and provide technical guidance

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma in Engineering or related field

• Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) credentials

• Alberta Water Distribution Level II certification

• Five years related experience in utility operations

• Ability to conduct field inspections and maintain schedules
