Cener Tech Canada Ltd. is seeking a Field Chemical Engineer with working experience in Canadian Oil Sand chemicals application and technical support to join the team to support the Fort McMurray region.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site daily work include but not limited to on-site sampling, testing, data entry, and compilation of daily reports;
  • Report the issues/problems encountered on site to the technical support team in a timely manner, and implement the resolution plan approved by the technical team, and report the implementation effect of the plan to the client and the company in a timely manner;
  • Complete other work as required by the client and company, include but not limited to on-site bottle testing, process optimization support, etc.
  • Conduct on-site chemicals logistics tasks, including but not limited to, tracking the on-site chemicals consumption and storage, cycling count, placing order, and report to the supervisor and technical support team in a timely manner;
  • Responsible for on-site delivery of chemicals transportation, including but not limited to loading and unloading chemicals.
  • Collect the information and situation of on-site oil sand production, track and assist in evaluating the performance of chemicals;
  • Collect abnormalities of chemicals performance in time and report to the technical support team.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to the Supervisor and technical support team.
  • Conduct other works and tasks required by the client and the company.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or other equivalent experience. Familiar with Canadian Oil Sand or heavy oil production and process, solid understanding of chemicals for oil and water treatment
  • Minimum 3 years of field working experience in chemicals application and technical support
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident) for anyone other than the current employer.
  • P.Eng. designation or other professional qualifications.
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin
  • Ability and willing to work in the field under freezing cold weather conditions,
  • This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive Position. Criminal police record check is required,
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license. Ability to travel to site for field support as required.
