One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with identifying an Asset Integrity Engineer (Pressure Equipment) to support ongoing utilities upgrades at a refinery site. This is an initial 3 to 6 month contract, with a strong preference toward a six‑month duration and potential to convert to a permanent opportunity. The position is expected to start in July and will follow a Monday to Thursday schedule, working 10‑hour days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the asset integrity program for pressure equipment including vessels, piping systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Review inspection data, assess damage mechanisms, and recommend mitigation or repair strategies.
  • Coordinate and support non‑destructive testing (NDT) activities and inspection planning.
  • Conduct field assessments and provide engineering support during inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
  • Contribute to risk‑based inspection (RBI) processes and ongoing integrity management planning.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and inspection teams to drive safe and reliable performance.
  • Prepare integrity‑related documentation, technical reports, and asset condition assessments.
  • Utilize Excel and internal systems for tracking, analysis, and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA is mandatory.
  • Approximately 10–20 years of engineering experience, aligned to an intermediate level.
  • Direct experience working within a refinery environment is required.
  • Strong background in pressure equipment integrity and inspection practices.
  • Experience with non‑destructive testing (NDT) methods is required; prior hands‑on inspection experience is a strong asset.
  • Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards related to pressure equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience is a significant asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Valid driver’s license.
