Mechanical Engineer; Facilities

TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting a FACILITIES ENGINEER (Mechanical) for an opportunity in the Greater Medicine Hat Area in an Operating Plant environment.

• Lead and perform Fitness-For-Service (FFS) evaluations for piping and stationary equipment, including review and oversight of third-party FFS engineering
• Provide piping design and mechanical integrity support to operating facilities, with a strong site-based focus
• Support technical needs of maintenance and turnaround planning
• Perform and/or support root cause analyses (RCA) in alignment with established reliability and RCA standards
• Support operations and maintenance departments with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to stationary equipment
• Develop maintenance strategies on a facility-wide approach to consolidate maintenance routines
• Oversight of structural analysis completed by third-party engineering
• Provide technical mentorship for Engineers-in-Training (EITs)

• 8+ years of relevant mechanical experience with oil & gas or petrochemical facilities
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer registered with APEGA for a minimum of 5 years
• Strong hands-on experience in piping design and Fitness-For-Service (FFS) evaluations
• Technical experience and training with pressure vessel and piping codes
• Outstanding organizational, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Communication, leadership, and mentorship skills
