Temporary Utility Technician - Environmental Services

Join the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as a Temporary Utility Operations Technician. This full-time role focuses on supporting vital environmental services in Fort McMurray's underground operations.

As you engage in this full-time six-month role, you will manage critical projects in water distribution and wastewater collection. Your expertise will provide essential technical support while coordinating with various stakeholders, including engineers and contractors. Contribute to the safety and functionality of municipal infrastructure by ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise underground services projects and contractor work

• Support water distribution and wastewater operations

• Conduct project final inspections and certifications

• Administer asset management and maintenance programs

• Develop and report on water operations data

Requirements:

• Civil or construction engineering diploma required

• Three years of utility or construction experience

• Must hold ASET eligibility

• Level III Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection preferred

• Class 5 Driver’s License needed
