Stantec's Edmonton Power team is looking for a seasoned Electrical Engineer with a solid background in high-voltage substations. This role demands comprehensive knowledge of engineering studies, intricate design tasks, and project metrics. You will work collaboratively to ensure that projects remain on schedule and meet all design standards, while also providing valuable mentorship to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee engineering studies and power system analyses

• Create comprehensive designs for substations including layouts

• Formulate detailed specifications for major equipment and systems

• Assist in proposal preparations and scope definition

• Conduct field visits to support project execution

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering focusing on Power Systems

• At least 6 years of engineering experience in utilities

• Valid Professional Engineer status (P.Eng)

• Familiarity with PSSE, PSCAD, and AutoCAD is advantageous

• Strong interpersonal skills with a valid driver’s license
