Acuren is seeking Drone Pilots to join their team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. These professionals will operate RPAS/UAVs to perform industrial inspections, data acquisition, and reality capture missions for a variety of clients. The ideal candidates are experienced in drone-based inspections within oil & gas, mining, or heavy industry, and are passionate about leveraging advanced sensor technologies to solve complex problems.

- Restricted Operator Certificate – Aeronautical (ROC-A)
- Must be local to Fort McMurray, AB
- Experience in industrial environments (oil & gas, mining, utilities, power generation, or heavy industry)
- Experience with drone-based inspections, surveying, mapping, or reality capture projects
- Experience conducting drone inspections in confined and enclosed industrial assets
- Ability to operate advanced sensor payloads (LiDAR, EO/IR, thermal, multispectral, hyperspectral systems)
- Experience with photogrammetry, LiDAR processing, or reality capture software
- Experience with GIS, CAD, and geospatial data platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, DJI Terra, Pix4D, Reality Capture, or similar)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, site maps, and inspection requirements
- Experience preparing technical reports and client deliverables
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to travel and work in remote industrial environments
- Ability to maintain required certifications, training, and operational records
- Ability to comply with Fit for Duty and Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace (including alcohol and drug testing)
- Experience with confined space, rope access, NDT/NDE, or industrial inspection applications
- Experience operating advanced sensor payloads is considered an asset
